PROFILE OF ASIAN OIL COMPANY

Company established in year 1962 by Shri. K.M.Vora and Shri. M.T.Shah basically the intention of trading in the field of petroleum base oil and grease that time.

They had started dealing in petroleum base oils and lubricants oils throughout the India.

At that time the material used to imported by the private party and imported from England and European countries. Even the fuel oil like the Kerosene were imported by the big companies and they were only company's supplying the branded fuel oil in the Indian market and the kerosene was basically used for lighting purpose only.

At the time the lubricant need was not that much and what ever the need was provided by the vegetable seed like the groundnut and castor oil used for that purpose. The material that time transported by the bullock cart locally and for interior part of India was connected by the small ship or by the rail networks, truck like docks and Chevrolet was came in the year 1964 after the army dispose the used trucks. And that was the era when the lubricating industries started the company forms like Premier and the Hindustan and real for the engineering industries started at that time.

Real period started when the small water pump in the country. At that time the lubricant need grow suddenly and the refinery's started the full production of the lubricant and where not able to supply the demand so that private party started supplying to Indian markets. So they decided of stated their own source of import and huge finance was required so they have taken the third partner Mr. S.K.Torpani and disposed the goods through train and rail throughout the India.

In year 1965 they have again shifted to the bigger place and started with refining lubricating oil.

In year 1968 Asian Oil started new unit outside the Mumbai limits in Panvel, in a bigger space to manufacture White Oil, Transformer oil, Liquid paraffin I.P. We have got the quota of Transformer Oil form HPCL refinery and quota of the Spindle oil from IOC and started manufacturing that product. Apart from different industries for the end use. Due to limited quota form the Petroleum Industries, growth was stagnant during the limited period. We have started Engine Oil for Gulf and Pennzoil. And taken ISI marking for Transformer Oil and continued for the marking for long time.

We have developed numerous products in our in-house lab and introduced to the market. We have also introduced Polybutane to enhance viscosity and viscosity index in Indian Industries. We have supplied white oils to China and Burma in very large quantities. We are pioneers in supplying Transformer oils and also in toll manufacturing of Transformer Oils, Petroleum Jelly, White Oil, Sulphonates.

Universal Pertochem, Lubrichem, Gulf Oil, Pennzoil, Tide Water etc. when these companies don't have base in Mumbai they have started business with us. We have customers base all over India and our list goes up to 600 customer for Liquid Paraffin and Transformer Oil but as the market for the Transformer Oil and credit terms & price war.

After the liberalization we are the one of the few industries to import base oil from overseas market, which is as you know far better quality and lower in price. We have developed Petroleum Sulphonates from different sources and difficult product like Calcium and Barium Sulphonates for first time.

We have expanded our import capacity as well as storage capacity in our plant.
